TikTok propaganda – “Go wash your hands”

Propaganda techniques can be used for a good cause.

In these days of the Coronavirus virus, they realized that in Vietnam.

The government made a video clip – with catchy pop song – to encourage everyone to wash their hands to prevent the further spread of the Corona virus.

The song makes clever use of different propaganda techniques. It presents a message in a simple way, it responds to the concerns that people have, it evokes (at least for me – ed) an intense emotion of joy and it also gives a strong sense that WE can fight the disease .

The song also caught on with some TikTok users and they immediately turned it into a “Hand wash Dance Challenge”.

And now let’s hope this challenge goes viral faster than the virus itself.
